<Guests of this month>
Because it’s the vacation time, we had lots of family guests from overseas and from Japan.
Saku had fun playing with other children.
The very first guests from Israel were a family who started their journey from last year, went to USA and went to school then came to Japan. They will go to Korea, other Asian countries and India.
They cannot speak same language but played a lot!
At night, we had fire works in the garden.
I loved to see that all 5 kids were surprised to see the big fire!
Aito enjoyed his first fire works in his hand.
The mother cooked Islael cook, shakshouka! Tomatoes, eggs and spice!
It was so good!!
From Taiwan, we had Mio san who is an exchange student and have studied in Japanese university.
She started learining Japanese by herself but it was surprising she speaks so fluent Japanese!
This time there was an event in Maizuru and her favorite voice actor was in so she came to northern Kyoto.
We enjoyed talking about anime especially Teruyuki who is so OTAKU.
With Saku, she kindly played “Karuta”, Japanese card game and “57577” card game that create a Tanka poem.
During her stay, she went to USJ for a day trip! It’s a good thing about Ayabe; close to city but countryside!
From Gremany a couple stayed 2 nights.
It was such a hot day so went for a river with a beer!
They kindly brought beers from Germany! Danke!
<Saku’s summer vacation>
Because we run travel agency, we sometimes take our kids to tour. This is part of our business so not always fun for kids but we believe they experience cultural things more than normal kids.
Saku has made Kurotani washi at reast 4 times. I think he is the only boy who experienced washi making so many times.
He also has been trying to make matcha at Japanese restaurant Tha-tsubo.
Hope he keeps practicing Sadou, tea ceremony.
We can reach Kinoko-no-mori in Ooi town, Fukui prefecture only 30 mins by car.
There are giant slides and we can experience making pottery.
This time, we went there with a family who stayed with us for many times.
After playint at Kinoko-no-mori, we went to “Kodomo-Kazoku-Kan” also locates in Ooi town.
There are a big ball pool area and there are several experiences that children can try.
